A sight in the Szklarska Poręba region

The Kamieńczyk waterfall in Szklarska Poręba — the highest in the Karkonosze

The Kamieńczyk waterfall is the highest waterfall on the Polish side of the Karkonosze. The Kamieńczyk stream drops here in three stages, 27 m in total, into the deep, rocky Kamieńczyk gorge, whose walls reach several dozen metres. Behind the curtain of water hides the Golden Cave, a small grotto reachable from the marked path. The waterfall lies inside Karkonosze National Park at about 843 m a.s.l., and the walk in starts from the car park on ul. Kamieńczyka. A historic mountain hut stands above the falls.
