Hala Szrenicka — the mountain hut and meadow below Szrenica

Hala Szrenicka is a broad mountain meadow at about 1,200 m a.s.l., inside Karkonosze National Park between Szrenica and Kamiennik. It holds one of the oldest mountain huts in the Polish Karkonosze, whose beginnings go back to a shepherd's shelter of 1786 known as the „New Silesian Hut”. Over the years it became an inn and then a PTTK mountain hut. The meadow is an important trail junction — routes from Szklarska Poręba, from Szrenica and from the main Karkonosze ridge meet here, which makes it a popular destination and a place to rest.
