A sight in the Szklarska Poręba region

Szrenica (1,362 m a.s.l.) — the cable car and ski area of Szklarska Poręba

Szrenica (1,362 m a.s.l.) is the highest summit above Szklarska Poręba and one of the town's emblems. A year-round chairlift in two stages runs to the top; the first lift was opened here as early as 1962. On the summit stand the „Szrenica” mountain hut and a climatology observatory of the University of Wrocław, and the top is covered by a granite blockfield. In winter the largest downhill ski area in the district operates here; in summer Szrenica is the starting point for the ridge trails of Karkonosze National Park.
