The Maria Skalicka Collection Museum in Ustroń — bookplates and prints
The Maria Skalicka Collection Museum, a branch of the Ustroń Museum, is at ul. 3 Maja 68 in the Brzegi district. It has been running since 1993 as a bibliophile and artistic institution built around the collection of the respected book lover and art collector Maria Skalicka. The holdings include prints, paintings, photographs, craftwork and pieces in the now-rare technique of woodcut, together with a substantial collection of bookplates, medals and early printed books. The Ustroń Gallery of Contemporary Art and the Gallery under the Fir operate alongside the museum, showing the work of artists from the region and beyond. It is an intimate place for lovers of books and graphic art.
