A sight in the Ustroń region

The Ustroń Museum — local history and ironworking in the old forge office

The Jan Jarocki Ustroń Museum occupies the listed former management building of the Klemens forge, dating from around 1800, on ul. Hutnicza. It documents the town's history, its industrial traditions of forging and iron smelting, and the folk culture of Cieszyn Silesia. The collection includes old forged products, everyday tools, regional costume and mementoes of the growth of Ustroń as a health resort. The museum is a good place to understand how the old forges gave rise to the town's healing tradition. It also looks after several smaller branches in the town.
