A sight in the Malbork region

The Middle Castle and the Grand Masters' Palace

The state rooms of the castle, where the grand masters received guests and conducted the Order's politics — with the Great Refectory and the palace's masterly vaults.

The Grand Masters' Palace

The Grand Masters' Palace was the residence of the Order's rulers — one of the finest secular Gothic buildings in Europe. It is famous for its palm vaults carried on slender pillars and for its ceremonial chambers and its winter and summer refectories.

The Great Refectory

The Great Refectory is the largest hall in the complex — a space of several hundred square metres under a star vault, the setting for lavish feasts and assemblies. Its scale and the lightness of its structure are striking.
