A sight in the Wisła region

Lake Czerniańskie and the dam at Wisła Czarne

Lake Czerniańskie is an artificial reservoir on the Vistula in the Czarne district, formed by a dam. It is here that the waters of the Biała and Czarna Wisełka meet — a picturesque place for a walk among the mountains.

A reservoir in the mountains

Lake Czerniańskie was created by a dam on the Vistula in the Czarne district. In the artificial reservoir the waters of the Biała and Czarna Wisełka come together. Among other things the reservoir serves flood protection and supplies the region with drinking water.

What you can do

  • Walking — paths around the lake and along the dam
  • Views — the sheet of water framed by Beskid peaks
  • Photographs — the dam and the lake in a mountain landscape
  • Position — close to the presidential residence and the valley of the Biała Wisełka

In practice

This is an open-air spot free to everyone — it goes well with a walk through Wisła Czarne and a visit to the presidential residence. It is at its finest under a clear sky, when the mountains are reflected in the water.
