The Palace on the Isle
The heart of the park is the Palace on the Isle, rebuilt in the neoclassical style for King Stanisław August Poniatowski in the 18th century out of a Baroque bath house — hence the name Łazienki, 'the baths'. The palace stands on an island joined to the banks by bridges; the royal chambers and a picture collection survive inside.
The Germans set the palace on fire in 1944, and the rebuilding ran into the post-war years. The interiors are ticketed; the park itself is open to all.
The Chopin monument and the concerts
In the part of the park by Aleje Ujazdowskie stands the famous Chopin monument — the composer beneath a willow bent by the wind. On summer Sundays (usually from May to September, at midday and in the afternoon) free open-air piano concerts are held here — one of Warsaw's best-known traditions.

- The Old and New Orangery — with the historic fittings of a court theatre
