Klimczok (1,117 m) — the peak, the hut and the highwayman's legend

Klimczok (1,117 m a.s.l.) is one of the most visited summits around Szczyrk. It takes its name from a legendary highwayman who, so the story goes, hid his loot in the 26-metre cave here; earlier the peak was called Skałka. From Szczyrk it is reached by the blue and green trails among others (about 2 hours of climbing), often passing the Sanctuary na Górce. Some 700 m east of the summit stands the PTTK Klimczok hut. In clear weather the top opens a panorama of the Żywiec Basin and the Tatras.
