The sanctuary and the church
The sanctuary of the Visitation of Our Lady was raised in the 17th and 18th centuries at the foundation of Marie Casimire Sobieska — the wife of King John III Sobieski. It is a Baroque building with two towers, surrounded by a monastic complex, and is tied to the queen's miraculous healing. It remains an important place of pilgrimage in the Lublin region.

Practical notes
Krasnobród lies about 25 km south-east of Zwierzyniec, on the DW849 from Zamość towards Susiec. The sanctuary is an active place of worship — visits take place outside services. It is worth combining the visit with a walk to the chapel „On the Water” — the spring rises beneath it, on the site of the apparition — and a stop at the reservoir.
