A sight in the Łeba region

The Stilo Lighthouse at Osetnik

One of Poland's more unusual lighthouses — it stands not on a cliff but among wooded dunes at Osetnik, east of Łeba. From the viewing platform a panorama of the sea and forest opens out above the treetops.

A lighthouse in the woods

The Stilo Lighthouse is a historic steel tower standing, unusually, not above open coast but among wooded dunes in the village of Osetnik. It dates from the early 20th century and is regarded as a monument of engineering and architecture. From the viewing platform a panorama opens out over the sea and the forest.

Worth knowing

  • The viewing platform — reached by stairs, ticketed
  • Location — Osetnik, east of Łeba, on the edge of the forest
  • Getting there — by car or bicycle and a short walk
  • Nearby — the beach and woodland paths

In practice

The best time is a clear, still day — that is when the views from the platform reach furthest. The way up is by steep stairs. It goes well with a walk in the woods or on the beach nearby; opening hours depend on the season.
