A sight in the Kotlina Kłodzka region

The spa towns of the Kłodzko Basin: Kudowa, Duszniki, Polanica

The Kłodzko Basin has the densest concentration of spa towns in Poland. Kudowa-Zdrój, Duszniki-Zdrój and Polanica-Zdrój combine historic spa parks, mineral-water pump rooms and atmospheric promenades with modern spa facilities — the gentler side of the basin, for a quieter day.

Three spa towns in the basin

Several long-established spa towns lie close together in the Kłodzko Basin. Kudowa-Zdrój, Duszniki-Zdrój (with its International Chopin Festival) and Polanica-Zdrój combine a tradition of taking the waters going back to the 17th to 19th centuries with well-kept parks, pump rooms serving mineral and medicinal waters and modern spa facilities.

What you can do

  • Spa parks — walks, bandstands and well-kept greenery
  • Pump rooms — tasting the mineral and medicinal waters
  • Promenades — cafés and a spa-town atmosphere
  • Spa and wellness — a wide range, all year round

In practice

A few kilometres separate the spa towns — the easiest way to see them is by car. The parks and promenades are open to all, while some treatments and spa services are charged. A good choice for a quieter day or in changeable weather.
