A sight in the Kołobrzeg region

The Museum of Polish Arms at Kołobrzeg

One of the most important military museums in Poland — with a rich display of arms, including a large open-air park of heavy military equipment and an exhibition on the fighting for Kołobrzeg in 1945.

The exhibition

The Museum of Polish Arms presents the history of Polish weaponry across the centuries. The indoor displays show arms, uniforms, decorations and mementoes, with particular attention to the fighting for Kołobrzeg in March 1945, some of the hardest urban fighting on the Baltic coast.

The open-air equipment park

  • Heavy equipment — tanks, guns and rocket launchers in the open air
  • Aviation and the navy — aircraft and shipboard equipment
  • For families — the open-air display impresses children too
  • Location — in the town centre, close to the co-cathedral

In practice

The museum is a good choice on a rainy day, but the open-air park is best seen in dry weather. It is easy to combine with a walk round the centre and a visit to the co-cathedral. Opening hours and admission depend on the season.
