A sight in the Kołobrzeg region

The lighthouse and harbour at Kołobrzeg

One of the emblems of the town — the lighthouse by the harbour entrance, with a viewing platform, and a lively fishing and passenger harbour.

A lighthouse with a platform

The lighthouse stands at the landward end of the breakwater, by the harbour entrance. You can climb to the viewing platform, from which a panorama opens out over the sea, the beach, the pier and the vessels coming into harbour. Admission is charged and the hours depend on the season.

The harbour

  • A fishing and passenger harbour — cutters, yachts and boats for sightseeing trips
  • Boat trips — seasonal excursions out to sea from the harbour
  • Breakwaters and quays — a walk with a view of the lighthouse
  • The Morast Redoubt and other historic points nearby

Tips

The best time is a still, sunny day — that is when the views from the platform reach furthest. The lighthouse and harbour are within walking distance of the beach and the pier, so they are easy to combine into a single seaside route.
