A sight in the Hel region

Władysławowo — Cetniewo and the Avenue of Sports Stars

A town at the root of the Hel Peninsula, known for the COS Cetniewo centre associated with the training of Polish athletes and Olympians, and for the Avenue of Sports Stars. A natural stop on the way onto the peninsula.

Cetniewo and sport

Władysławowo lies at the root of the Hel Peninsula — most travellers pass through it on the way to the spit. It is known above all for the COS Cetniewo centre, traditionally associated with the training of Polish athletes and Olympians.

What to see

  • The Avenue of Sports Stars — dedicated to Poland's sportspeople
  • COS Cetniewo — the well-known training centre
  • The port and the beaches — at the root of the peninsula
  • A transport hub — the gateway to the Hel Peninsula

Practical notes

Władysławowo makes a good stop on the way to the peninsula — the road and the railway line run on from here to Hel. At the height of the season the town is full and traffic backs up; June and September are calmer.
