Oblęgorek — Henryk Sienkiewicz's manor and museum

The manor at Oblęgorek was given to Henryk Sienkiewicz in 1900 by the Polish nation as a jubilee gift. Today it houses a biographical museum of the Nobel laureate, with its interiors and mementoes preserved, set in a historic park at the foot of the Holy Cross Mountains.

A gift from the nation

The manor at Oblęgorek was presented to Henryk Sienkiewicz in 1900 as a national gift marking 25 years of his writing. The author of Quo Vadis and With Fire and Sword spent his summers here with his family. Today it is a branch of the National Museum in Kielce.

Practical notes
