Fort Gerharda at Świnoujście

A well-preserved 19th-century artillery fort, part of the system of defences guarding the harbour entrance — visited with a guide playing a Prussian soldier.

Prussian defences

Fort Gerharda (the East Fort) is a 19th-century part of the Prussian defensive system of the harbour at Świnoujście — with ramparts, a courtyard, barracks and gun positions. It is one of the best-preserved and most engagingly presented forts on the Polish coast.

Who it suits
