A gorge in a reserve
The Homole Gorge was carved by a thousand years of erosion of the limestone by the Kamionka stream. The gorge is about 800 m long and its walls reach 120 m. The whole area has been protected as the „Wąwóz Homole” reserve since 1963. Rare limestone plant species grow here.

Practical notes
The entrance to the gorge is in the village of Jaworki (about 8 km from Szczawnica). There is paid parking in the village. The route through the gorge is easy and suits families with children — about 30 minutes up to the Doniec clearing. Arriving early at weekends is advisable — it is a popular spot.
