May and June — the beaches still empty, prices lower, and the marina and quay coming to life. The water is too cold for a long swim (12–16°C), but it is an excellent time for walking, cycling along the DW102 and the first boat trips on the Kamień Lagoon.
The height of the season. In July and August there are crowds, room prices two or three times higher, the bridge raised daily on even hours, the Commando Festival and the Avenue of Sporting Stars gala. June and the second half of August combine warm water with fewer people.
September — the Polish "old wives' summer" can be warm (the water is still 16–18°C to mid-month) and the resort is markedly cheaper and quieter. October is cold and windy, but good for walks on an empty beach and for watching birds on the lagoon.
Quiet and windy, with some places to eat closed. The marina runs all year and the bridge is raised less often. For anyone who loves a raw, stormy climate and an empty beach — with a thick jacket.
